2006 CROSSROADS MX  AWARD BANQUET

Crossroads MX hosted their first awards banquet at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Effingham, IL.

    As guests arrived, they were presented tickets for door prizes, ,  and a copy of the nights program with all award winners listed.

    During Happy hr, there was a cash bar and the biggest talk of the night was the big screen with all winners having a clip of their racing. Terry Etling took video’s of the racing all year and put it altogether on a DVD and was for sale at the banquet for anyone wanting a copy. The video was an hr long and had still pictures of every Crossroads MX winner in it as well as racing clips.

  Gary Rogers from R & R Powersports of Effingham IL displayed an “07” Suzuki 85 and a Kawasaki 250F and two 4-wheelers.   R & R Powersports also donated many products for the door prizes.

  Joe Travis from Travco Motorsports of Olney IL, also displayed an 07 Honda 150cc and an 07 Yamaha.  Travco Motorsports also donated many door prizes for the evening.

Dinner was catered by Mike’s of Louisville. The food was excellent and plenty of it.  During Dinner, there was a slide show of race pictures taken by Troy Lea on the big screen that had been taken throughout the season.

     Ray was the MC for the evening and kept everyone laughing throughout the program with his funny comments.  The funniest award was given to Jason Straight – The Monkey Butt Award – Never get enough.

  All track winners were presented a large personalized plaque with their own race picture on it as well as anyone making 275 points were presented a Crossroads MX Team Jacket.

 Moose Racing donated a table full of shirts, hats, jerseys, ect as door prises.  Ticket winners were able to choose their own prize as they turned in their winning tickets.

Overall track Champions were Carter Gordon in the youth division and Dalton Foerster in the Adult division.  Both were presented with a large trophy and a Free gate pass for the following season.

 As the awards ended, there was a DJ for entertainment for the rest of the evening and a slide show of the mini racers on the big screen.

Ray and Nadine would like to thank all racers that participated and looking forward to a great season in 07 starting in March.
