2007 starting out to be a cold a winter start this season has cancelled many events, but Belleville Enduro Team hosting the first event of the season, you would have swore it was middle of April. 70's Sunny, DRY, and excellent track condition greeted the around 130+ riders. An excellent course, around 5 miles in length to break out those winter blues. Many took the long trip to clear the cobwebs and get ready to a new season.

Many nice down hills filled the day |
New points process, with 18 races counting, and bonus races should make for tight and close battles to the end of the season.
Ok now for the skinny, just how many guys out there, looked at the "spillway" and thought oops better watch that concrete it will be slick. Then how about the tree in the middle of the little nasty down hill big rock on the right, stack of rocks and roots on the left. Or the third gear little straight, to the left turn with that limb smacking you in the face? Another question comes to mind, why after the track section and then the first down hill, didn't anyone take the "mud" line, it looked deep but we thought for sure some one would at least try it! Last question, why does that roto-tiller out back on the trail have a motor cover on it? What could it be used for?
Most all the riders had a great day of riding, getting rid of the winter blues, checking out the new bike, or hoping the rebuild was complete on the old bike. If no parts fell off, and chain was tight enough, no tires were flat it went great.

Neil Harrmann new 30+ A rider. |
This certain 30 A rider "revved" his 525 to many times on the starting line, only to run out of gas and push it to the truck. Soon we suspect a larger then stock fuel cell "Will" be ordered? |
All in all it was a great day of riding. Good to see people we haven't seen in a while, and when it's in the 60's and grass is turning green spring has to be just around the corner.
