Whooops!

We started out the awards with the Fox Valley Hare Scramble series first again this year.....after reading last years right up on the play day. One could almost call this years event for Megacross and Fox Valley Off Road as a "carbon copy" of last season. The exception being more riders and more prizes made it a fun day all around. Some where around 500+ jammed the tent around noon to enjoy the bbq and pork with the "fixins". She looked at me as they all gathered around and said " I sure hope we have enough!". After a full day behind the stove we were glad there was plenty! This year the rain came and went on Friday to provide wet and sticky trails, with an almost perfect big track conditions and ever improving little track for the kids.

Many rain coats and umbrellas were given away as a spoof on this seasons rain out record, that way many more will be ready this coming season! Helmets, boots, jackets, a pile of goggles, and many other items were won by who ever had a lucky ticket.
MSR, ANSWER, Pro Taper, Tucker Rocky, sponsors of this year's contingency program and provided most of the prizes. Special thanks also goes to Meriden Street Motosports, RCR Kawasaki, Fox Valley Honda, and Service Honda were all involved with the play day.
2007 will be the first full season behind the transponders instituted this year, talk about one thing that made a season go smooth and work well, it truly made holding Hare Scramble races fun to do again.  Now if we can talk Mr. Bouma into figuring out how to adapt this to Megacross!!! :)

Looking at some class changes which will change some of the structure of Megacross next year, but with 3 rain outs and one make up this year, as a whole the season went pretty well. We plan to start a tad bit earlier next season so as not to have to hurry so much through the night. Fox Valley Hare Scramble series will be changed a little also, with the last date moving up one weekend, but the rest will be the same.
Watch for some interesting scheduling to come out of D-17 this season, a renewed series, and "old" venues remaking themselves. Many changes to improve the whole process we will have to see if it will work.

We like to thank all the sponsors and all the riders/spectators for a good season. It won't be long til we are setting on the starting line a LTM in February saying "wow what a great day!"  40 degrees in February feels so much warmer then 45 in November, wonder what the theory is on that?  Have a great holiday season!!

Thank you
